2015

The Home was a hive of activity in 2015, with Royal visits and a new charter unveiled, as well as getting to know some pony pals, gaining green credentials, and a special open day.

In June we celebrated 150 years of providing care to former mariners with a visit from our royal Patron. HRH the Princess Royal toured the newly refurbished facilities, meeting staff, volunteers and residents before presenting the charity with a new Royal Charter.

In October we were honoured to lead the Annual National Service for Seafarers at St Paul’s Cathedral, which saw more than 20 maritime charities come together to commemorate and celebrate seafarers from across the maritime industry.
